The Roe Park Resort, Limavady has been named ‘Golf Hotel of the Year’ at the annual Irish Hotel Awards, this is the second time the resort has received this award.
The resort’s golf facilities were deemed the best in Ireland, following a visit from a mystery shopper judge from the awards. The mystery shopper judge considered all the facilities offered in the hotel including the restaurants, the spa and health club, rooms and overall customer service. The judge commented that the 18 hole parkland golf course was in excellent condition with great character making it the perfect destination for a golf break in Ireland.
The award follows a stream of success for the Roe Park Resort following a £1m investment programme in the golf and leisure facilities over the past 5 years which saw the redevelopment of its golf course, and an enhancement of its driving range, golf club, academy and 18-hole course. Since 2015 the resort has won 9 awards including IGTOA Golf Resort of the Year 2016 and 2017, Best Golf Resort in Ulster from Golfers Guide to Ireland, 2017 Golf Hotel of the Year at the Irish Hotel Awards and its Golf and Spa Manager Terry Kelly was named Golf Manager of the Year by the Golfers Guide to Ireland Awards in 2018.
