NEW AUTUMN SEASON ANNOUNCED FOR THE FORUM

The Millennium Forum has just announced details of its brand new autumn season of events.  The Sept-Dec 2018 brochure is hot off the presses.

This season’s headliner is Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s gripping musical, EVITA, which tells the mesmerising story of Eva Peron.

Derry Girl, Lisa McGee’s, debut play, GIRLS AND DOLLS, opens at the Forum in September before it goes on a major Irish Tour.  Starring Jamie Lee O’Donnell (Derry Girls) and Jennifer Barry (The Young Offenders), this brand new play, hot on the heels of the massive success of both hit comedy series is guaranteed to be the hottest ticket in town!

There is a wide range of music with JIMMY OSMOND and ALBERT HAMMOND in September; THE DRIFTERS, THE JIVE ACES and legendary band, SMOKIE hit the stage later in the season.  There is also plenty of country music with singers MICHAEL ENGLISH and DONNA TAGGART.  JIMMY BUCKLEY also makes a welcome return as do NATHAN CARTER and DANIEL O’DONNELL.  Irish singer/songwriter CARA DILLON is sure to perform a delightful pre-Christmas evening and a night with THE FUREYS will be a wonderful traditional show in December.

Ballet Ireland returns with a new production of THE NUTCRACKER – a must for ballet fans to look forward to watching this entrancing Christmas tale brought to life on a local stage.

There is drama with Brian Foster’s MYRA’S STORY, produced by Millennium Forum Productions which is touring on a national and UK tour. There is comedy drama with brand new show CUSTOMS AND EXILES; while popular local comic playwright, Conal Gallen, brings us a brand new show, OFF YOUR TROLLEY.

The Forum has a fabulous treat for children this season when the famous MADAGASCAR bursts onto its stage as part of a UK tour.  This brand new musical from Dreamworks is already selling well with its fans!  Christmas would not be Christmas without the Forum’s annual pantomime and, this year, PETER PAN will be better and funnier than ever! Join the Darling family and ‘the boy who never grew up’ and let your dreams take flight this Christmas.
